Rich Grey

Dentist
BDS (Bristol) 2015 MSc MFDS RCPS Glasgow

Richard qualified as a dentist from the University of Bristol in 2015. He went on to complete two years of Foundation and Core Training in West Sussex, including a year working in the Maxillofacial Unit at Western Sussex Hospitals Trust. He later completed a Master’s degree in Primary Dental Care in 2018 and is a qualified member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons and Physicians in Glasgow.

Richard enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but what he particularly values is working with patients to understand their concerns and find the right solutions together. He believes that dental care should be calm, clear and collaborative, and takes the time to explain treatment options so that patients can feel informed and confident about their decisions.

Alongside his work in general practice, Richard also works in the local out-of-hours Emergency Dental Service and is due to begin working with the Community Dental Service at Morley Street in Brighton. These roles have given him valuable experience caring for patients who may face financial, social, medical or other barriers to accessing dental care. He is passionate about making dentistry as accessible and comfortable as possible for everyone.

Richard is currently undertaking a diploma in Periodontology on Harley Street in London, focusing on gum health and the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease. This further training allows him to develop a particular interest and expertise in periodontal care, helping him provide an even higher level of care for patients with gum-related concerns.

Outside dentistry, Richard enjoys keeping active and can often be found running, cycling or at the gym. He is also a keen cricketer and particularly enjoys playing during the summer. When he has some downtime, he enjoys reading and keeping up with current affairs, psychology and science fiction.
