BDS (Newcastle) 1988, MClinDent (Lond)
GDC No. 63273
I qualified from Newcastle dental school in 1988.
I have recently completed a four year Master's Degree in Clinical Dentistry which focused mainly on restorative and cosmetic dentistry as well as removable prosthetics (dentures).
I worked in general practice in Hove firstly as a vocational trainee and then as an associate for 10 years.
During this time I was involved with a small charity delivering dental care to children in orphanages in Romania. At the time I was sponsorship secretary for the local British Dental Association for 5 years. I then worked in Australia for three years as lead clinician for the community dental services which included providing dental care for local Aboriginal communities.
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry but am particularly interested in cosmetic work and the treatment of tooth wear cases. I have been involved in a complex dentistry scheme in West Sussex.
I also have experience in treating nervous and anxious patients and undertook a 6 week course in cognitive behaviour therapy.
In my spare time I enjoy running, cycling, gardening, drawing and piano playing.
